My toddlers can make more messes than they can even think about in less than 2.5 seconds and I just.dont.get.it. I thought it would be fun to share a day in the life (or more an hour in the life) of a toddler.
Do you ever wonder why your mom friends need wine or bubble baths or things of the such? It’s because we’re constantly cleaning up after our children. When we’re finally finished cleaning up after our children and get them put to bed, we’ve got to clean up after our husbands, amirite? Oiiiiii.
I photographed my almost-2-year-old over the course of one hour. ONE HOUR PEOPLE. and this is the amount of craziness that I got from her in one confined space. Can you believe we didn’t even leave the room and all of these shenanigans happened?
All else aside, I’m thankful for Huggies and the fact that she can move in them (and now take the diaper off to throw across the room). They come along with her for every mess, and at least I know that her little hiney isn’t a mess and is definitely taken care of with Huggies Snug n Dry and Huggies One and Done wipes. We’re getting close to being potty trained, but Huggies has allowed us the freedom to be clean and dry as well as be messy. Sounds crazy when I say that out loud.
Is your babe as crazy as mine? Here is our hour of mess through photos. Do they even need captions?
See that vase of flowers back there? Yeah, do I even need to tell you what happened? They’re now dead and the carpet is wet. Mom’s fault for putting a vase of flowers in a toddler’s room…Mess #1.
Lennyn’s outfit is complete with Huggies Snug n Dry Diapers size 4, fits TTS 😉
On to Mess #2, not even 2 minutes later…. we’ve pulled out all of the clothes from drawers. ALL OF THEM. Do you know how hard this was to watch? I’m still cringing. Don’t worry…she “cannonballed” in all of the clean clothes on the floor.
On to Mess #3 (Mom is still cringing about Mess 1 and 2…but remember, we’re documenting the craziness here). Okay, sure…let’s let her climb on her crib so she can quickly decide she doesn’t need to sleep in there anymore. Good idea, Mom.
But, at least she knows she’s cute…
And that diaper fits like a glove 😉
Mess #4-ish. I believe there were several other messes in between 3 and 4, but let’s just pretend that they cleaned themselves up! As if allllll of the clean clothes on the floor to cannon-ball into weren’t enough…now we’re getting out every.last.blanket. we own, one by one….then putting them back away. It’s like a game. Mom’s not winning.
In fact, Mom wins one…and she’s pouting. She says, “Mom…watch me. I’m pouting. Show Mom I pout.” I mean…..too cute to discipline at this point in the game.
Mess #5 (among all of the others), now we’ve gotten the babies out. Baby needs to be rocked, sang to, diapered and wiped, and fed.
Annnnnddd…now we’re playing Dare Devil and rocking while standing up in true Lennyn-Form.
Are you tired? Do you think there is a fairy to come clean up all of this mess? Toddlers make some of the BIGGEST messes, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. Not pictured: her big sister who is making equally as large of messes (sometimes worse) in her own room.
Thank you, Huggies, for growing with my girl – one mess at a time!
